Historical European Martial Arts World Wide Championship 11th August . - 17th.August 2008 in Germany near Hannover


Part A
Monday to Thursday
Workshops of different TOP Instructors (to be arranged - see update).

Thursday 14th Afternoon/ Night: Prize Playing System

Prize Playing System will take place on the Thursday night for all people who are present and have taken part in a workshop. The winner will have the greatest percentage of wins to losses in their particular sections. Fights will last until the first good strike, double strikes will count as a loss. The Prize Player comes forward onto the figthing area. Any other competitor canchallenge him within the weapon categories agreed on. First good hit wins. The challengers continue until all challengers have challenged once. This will be run and will only take place on the Thursday night to those who are there for the workshops.


Part B
Friday 15 th to Sunday 17 th of August: Competitions in the following disciplines.
The competitions will be fought on three different arenas. We will have a committee of 8 - 12 people judging the fights
The number of participants will be limited to 100.
We will have a combination between a league system and a k.o system to guarantee that every participant takes part in at least 20 fights in the weekend.


1. Longsword

2. Sword & Buckler/ Sword & Shield

3. Langmesser/Liberi Sword single handed

4. Small Sword.

5. Rapier.


Prices:

We provide prices worth between 3000 € and 5000 € between the winners of the competitions including weapons of Stefan Roth (http://www.seelenschmiede.de) as well as safety equipment and Historical Martial Arts Books.


Location:

The event is held in a small village, about 30 km west of Hannover. We have a sports hall, a football field and a big room for the meals. The football field can be used for camping and additional training or sparring between the workshops or competitions.
The sports hall is 2 miles from the motorway A2. Easy access by train and from the airport in Hannover. Shuttles can be arranged.

We are making arrangements for trips to local points of interest for families, or for your wives and children - while you fight! See the web site below.

Costs:

The costs include full catering for the whole event and sleeping in your own tent on the football field or in the sports hall. A close by hotel costs about 35 € per night.
Accommodation on site with your tent is FREE.

Part A and Spectator at Part B: 140 € Food not included in for the weekend.
Part B 160 €
Part A + B 220 € Food included for the weekend.
