Hi Friends,

first of all, my apologies: I can't write or speak espanol, so must write in english. And considering my clumsy english... 8)

I would like to salute everyone I knew in Verbania, both for the serious both for the funny moments we have passed togheter.
I hope that now, passed away the stress of 3 days intensive lessons, tournament, travels (and all this kind of things...), you can consider yourself satisfacted of this Meeting experience; at least, as we had appreciate your massive and kind presence at it.

My congratulation for your fierce spirit. I see it in everything you do.
Really Traditional, passioned and... "nationalistic"!... :D (Ah ah ah, I'm Roman, I can understand you VERY well... )

You truly are a kind company of passioned gentlemen...and a fair dame, obviously, I don't want to forget Rosa!

Hope to see you soon, and, why not in Roma?
Have a good...fence!

Hi, Francesco.

Nice to see you here. Welcome to our forum!

We had a great time at Verbania. Speaking from my own experience, I appreciated the company, the good spirit and the organization efforts to make everthing run as smooth as possible. And we all know this is not an easy feat, specially taking into account the amount of people involved! In fact, having seen you busying yourself around, trying to organize the nightmarish schedule for the Personal Lessons, I must say I'm impressed that at the last day you were able not only to hold a sword but to win the tournement! :) My sincere congratulations again!

I must say I really enjoyed the chance to cross swords with you and with all the fencers there who were kind enough to let me square with them. I found skillful and elegant opponents that in general showed a hand control I really would have liked for myself. Indeed, for me, something to strive for, that's for sure... 8)

And, yeah, why not Rome? :D That would be SO cool... Been there once, and left with such a HUNGER to come back...

Take care

Hell, here's the "Errant italian", cursed for eternity to walk around with the private lesson's portfolio, never to fix the last lesson

And the tournament's winner. Again, congratulations!

Congratulations not only for winning, but for the outstanding work you and your partners of FISAS did with the organization of the meeting, not only with the setting up, but with the day-to-day work of yours keeping it running as smooth as possible: a hard and, perhaps, ungrateful work, as the best thing it can be said about it is that it passed nearly unseen.

Next year, Rome? It would be nice to set up a massive swordfight in the streets of Rome, isn't it?

Anyway, wherever it may be, and if time and money allow it, you'll see me at the next meeting, eager to cross swords with you...again

Have a nice day

Hi guys! Thanks, for appreciating mine and my staff work.
A real pleasure... 'cause as a fencer, my pleasure sets IN fence itself, but as organizator it's placed in your satisfaction.
So...good! And next year we'll try to improve our standard, resolving the little bugs we had in this passed edition.
[Marc] I must say I'm impressed that at the last day you were able not only to hold a sword but to win the tournement! My sincere congratulations again!

I thank you very much. To be honest, I don't remeber anything, more or less, of the tournament...only some flash, some images, and the general attitude I used...this isn't the firts time it happens to me, probabily caused from the stress of tournament.
Thank you.

I'm not a person used to please anyone, so you can believe what I'm going to tell you.

I truly found in you and your friends "interesting" opponents, and "new" ones.
I'm used to face my Salle friends, the others FISAS student and, at last, the Martinez ones (just a bit, however); I know, more or less, their assault "mindset", and in some case their demeanour or their fencing nature.
With all of you, indeed, it's something completely different.

Differences, for exemple, are in general fighting attitude you are used, fierce and direct. Obviously you're all different among yourself, so I find someone a bit rusher than others, one more accurate than another...but finally, I recognize this assault mindset in all of you.
And, if you allow me to tell you, I see in it a far inheritance, an "underneath rumour" that remainds to me the Philip the Second period, the Invincible Armada, the court and the streets of that old Spain I studied in school and university.
With the merits and the faults of every history moment...so, not an ideal version but a realistic one.
Probably it's only a suggestion, I study humanities...if so, a truly effective one.

This doesn't necessarily mean you're better, or worse, than fencer I'd fenced with before.
Simply, different and new: and this is stimulating, it gave to me the opportunity to force my habits to create new solutions.
So at the end, that I won or that I didn't, it's almost the same...another time, the true fence is with myself: the continue research of new goals, new ways, new solutions resolving new problems. "Fence with myself", said someone...
Ok, I stop it, probably you have just fall asleep... 8)

Oh yes, I'm starting to manage a project for october/november about it...but I don't want to ruin the surprise..so, stay tuned! 8)
