Please excuse me if I write in English.

Dear Readers,

FISAS is proud to announce that the VI International Meeting this year has reached its sixth edition, and can offer a very intensive three days of practice of the European Martial Arts, bringing in Italy some of the most experienced teachers for one of the highest technical program of lessons ever organised by the Italian Historical Fencing Federation.

Details and registration form can be found at:

http://www.scherma-antica.org/MeetingProgramma05.htm

In the wonderful scenario of the Italian Alps in a Hotel-Monastery on the Lake district of Verbania, on the 23rd,24th,25th of April, teachers such as Ramon & Jeannette Martinez, Paul MacDonald, James Loriega, Cosimo Bruno, Mario Magni, Andrea Lupo Sinclair, Brian McIlmoyle, will offer group and private lessons of a very advanced practice of several weapons in the following program:

- The Italian Rapier: from the historical Sidesword to the traditional Italian weapon;

- A comparative study between the Two Handed Sword and The Two Handed Stick;

- A detailed study of the refined Duelling tactics and strategy of the french Smallsword;

- A deep insight of the Italian Sabre tactics and strategy in a lesson for the free assault;

- An unique lesson about the English Backsword in its nuances of the Art of Cutting;

- A crossover lesson of Backsword versus Italian Rapier;

- Two lessons of Navaja Sevillana, focused on the free fight with the Sevillan Steel;

- An advanced study on the Fiore de' Liberi single handed swordplay.

This year there will be also important demonstrations/short lessons of:

- Chris Chatfield (BFHS) whose work on Saviolo is some of the most interesting we have ever seen;
- Alberto Bomprezzi (AEEA), with his studies about the popular Spanish school, the only real study on the "Destreza Vulgar" ever made in modern times;
- Stefan Dieke (Die Freifechter) and his deep and unique knowledge of the Meyer's Rapier;
- The Fisas student Natasjia Solgaard-Groenli with a brilliant work on the I-33 code.

Then, the (in)famous Fisas Gala, this year celebrating the first ten years of teaching of M. Lupo Sinclair and the Fisas rapier tournament, together with all the friendly atmosphere and hospitality and the serious discipline of practice in the Salle will offer to all those who came a good opportunity to know the spirit of Fisas and its work.

Everybody is invited.

Best to all.

The FISAS organizative committee.
