Greetings,
For non-spanish forumites
we have translated the event information below:
8th AEEA Historical Fencing Meeting Toledo 2013
We abandon the traditional location in San Lorenzo de El Escorial to move to Toledo, the city of the sword, the place we all have always considered the ideal location for an event of Fencing with ancient weapons.
The program also features many changes in line with the evolution of fencing in our society.
On Friday we will visit the Museum of the Army and Manuel Valle will be giving a lecture on "Oplosophia" the manual that collected the theoretical method of Verdadera Destreza in Portugal written by General Diego Lopez de Figueiredo.
Early on Saturday the tradicional Juegos de armas will be held, for all attendees to stab each other to their statisfaction
Next, there will be classesof longsword by Oriol Salvador, Bart Walczack, and Iñaki Buján and rapier by Ton Puey, Francesco Lodá and Alberto Bomprezzi and cut and thrust sword class by Chris Chatfield and Claudio de Lazzer.
In the afternoon there will be a tournament of rapier and dagger to end the day.
Later in the evening, there will be a lecture by Dr. Marc Gener, wich will start the gala dinner in the historic center of Toledo. Semi-formal attire is encouraged (Suit and tie for men and dress for women).
The next day we¡ll have more Juegos de armas and new classes with Walczack, Lodá, Chatfield and Claude Lazzer and also of Oscar Torres (rapier and dagger) and Rodrigo Gonzalez Ayala (Sword and buckler).
